ATCO needed to build a durable product that would endure the harsh winter climatic conditions, as well as the warm summer temperatures of the Sakhalin Islands, where temperatures range between minus 50 and plus 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, this building was manufactured for northern and arctic-like conditions in order to provide comfortable, low maintenance office space in the extreme cold.
