Solution:
ATCO
Europe was awarded the multi-million dollar contract to manufacture
camps at Krechba, Tegentour, Reg and Hassi R'Mel, which would
accommodate construction and military personnel.
ATCO's
Diboll, Texas plant built all of the office units (a total
of 160 modules) while the remaining 250 sleeper, kitchen/diner,
recreation and first aid rooms were produced at the company's
Budapest factory. The majority of the modules were produced
in the company's innovative knock-down format, which allows
units to be flat packed for easier shipping and re-assembly
on site. Units housing appliances and equipment were shipped
already fully erected. All units were transported by sea
from Budapest and Texas. ATCO also supplied considerable
civil, mechanical and electrical site services for all camps.
This
turnkey project, which encompassed total design and engineering,
manufacture of all buildings, transportation, site services,
and construction consultation at site, was completed in just
four months.
