Challenge
To provide accommodations for U.S. and international peacekeepers
in the former Yugoslavia.
Solution
ATCO Structures in Budapest used existing stock and new manufactured
products to provide dormitory style sleeping accommodations,
washroom/shower facilities, kitchen/diners, recreation and
laundry facilities. ATCO also supplied generators, water systems,
septic holding tanks and necessary materials to install camps
including spare parts, utensils and bedding.
Details
All camp components were delivered to a staging area in Slavonski
Brod, Croatia, trucked to camp sites in Bosnia, and installed. In
addition to base camps, ATCO supplied storage buildings, separate
kitchen/dining complexes and various other products to be utilized
by the U.S. military.
Several years later, in 2001 to 2002, ATCO Structures supplied
over 60 Fold-A-Way buildings for U.S. and NATO operations in
Kosovo.
