Challenge
To build attractive, permanent staff housing for the Fairmont Banff
Springs Hotel in order to accommodate 600 employees working
at the resort.
Solution
ATCO Structures manufactured the modules in the Calgary plant,
while at the same time preparing the site for installation. The
units were installed and a peaked roof was built using typical
wood frame construction. The exterior was finished using wood
and stone to match the castle-styled appearance of the Fairmont
Banff Springs hotel.
Details
This project was completed in 1988 and is situated across from
the Fairmont Banff Springs where it continues to accommodate
staff working at the hotel.
